We also had the added expense of four new buffer springs costing little over £800!
The next project is to refurbish the Sentinel shunter to support museum services. It will enter the NRM workshop at Shildon after the gathering event. Anyone wishing to get involved, please contact us through the contact us page on the website. We will repainting into its original livery, the green sported by the new Hornby model. We are also looking for kind donations towards the paint costs.
Norwood is now on the move again in terms of working parties. The wheels are turned and returned to site. Once the bearings are ready work will commence on re wheeling the chassis. We are currently looking for donations towards refurbishment of the springs to assist completing the re wheeling exercise.
